Surah Al-Fatiha
The Opener: 7 verses in Arabic with transliteration and meaning.
Surah Quraysh reminds the tribe of Quraysh of Allah's blessings: safe journeys in winter and summer, food when they were hungry and safety when they were afraid. So they should worship the Lord of this House.
liīlāfi qurayshin
For the accustomed security of the Quraysh -
īlāfihim riḥ'lata l-shitāi wal-ṣayfi
Their accustomed security [in] the caravan of winter and summer -
falyaʿbudū rabba hādhā l-bayti
Let them worship the Lord of this House,
alladhī aṭʿamahum min jūʿin waāmanahum min khawfin
Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear.
