Part 1Young believers
Long ago, in a land where people had turned away from worshipping Allah, there lived a group of young men who believed in Allah with sincere hearts. They were pressured to follow false worship, but they refused. They knew Allah alone deserves to be worshipped, and they encouraged one another to stay strong.
One day they decided to leave their city rather than give up their faith. They walked into the mountains and found a quiet cave. Inside, they prayed: “Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us in our affair.”
Part 2A very long sleep
Then something amazing happened. Allah made the young men fall into a deep sleep. Outside, days became months and months became years, but inside the cave Allah kept them safe. Generations came and went.
After more than three hundred years, Allah woke them. They looked around, confused. One asked, “How long have we stayed here?” Another answered, “A day, or part of a day.” They had no idea that centuries had passed.
Part 3A sign from Allah
Hungry, they sent one of them into the city to buy food and told him to be careful. But everything in the city had changed, and the people were strangers. The coin he carried was very old, and soon the people discovered the amazing truth: these were the believers who had disappeared long ago.
Allah had kept them safe as a sign of His power. The Quran tells us that their story shows that Allah's promise is true and that there is no doubt about the Day of Resurrection. They entered the cave with nothing but their faith, and Allah protected them in a way they could never have imagined.
